The League of Women Voters of Florida supports securing equal rights and equal opportunity for all. We promote social and economic justice and the health and safety of all Americans. By supporting immigration policies that promote reunification of immediate families, we help to meet the economic, business and employment needs of Florida and the United States. We work to ensure fair treatment under the law for all persons. In the transition to a reformed system, support provisions for unauthorized immigrants already in the country to earn legal status.

The League of Women Voters of Florida recognizes that Florida and America as a whole are lands of immigrants. Immigrants help weave the fabric and identity of our nation, and we believe it is critical for the U.S. to encourage their participation in our society and democracy.
